Review of Producing feminism: Television Work in the Age of Women’s Liberation by Jennifer S. Clark, University of California Press, 2024
'As Clark suggests, at a time when the women’s movement and women’s liberation discussions were on the rise, representation of feminism within commercial television was still at quite a commercialized stage, requiring compelling stories and images with consumption value. Still of relevance to some extent, feminist expression of ideas rarely found their place in television and broadcasting, as the priority was to reach the mass audience and focus on topics that they would respond to (Clark, 2024, p. 124).'
