Excerpt
Overall, Clark’s book presents a rather captivating, well-executed piece of historical research regarding women’s liberation in the television industry during the 1970s. The author gives out relevant details regarding certain individuals, companies, or production processes in a comprehensive manner. Moreover, the different case studies make up for a rather dynamic sense of research that covers more than one dimension of the field that is being researched. Therefore, rather than taking one singular case as a starting point for research, the book succeeds in attracting the reader’s attention with a broad range of topics.
