This paper is the selected summary of my latest book on ‘Migration for Survival’ (under peer review).
I will present a series of historical-empirical cases of (un)armed conflicts – and which r reactions of resistance they have triggered – and still do. These cases range from prehistory to todays’ times.
Based on those cases I will deduce and present a novel theory and concept: The Dialectics of Co-Evolution, DICE, and its smallest neurological cognitive, emotional and motivation-for- (non)action elements, the Cogems.
Both are also, but not primarily, aiming at a fundamental critique of the many eclecticisms in social sciences, and particularly, in what I have called ‘Traditional Peace Research’ (TPr) à la Galtung – along with concrete alternatives.
Hence, the paper closes with the call for a fundamental and long overdue paradigm shift in these areas, including a series of concrete suggestions, how to change this unsatisfying and ineffective situation regarding the current and future refugees and forced displacement crises.
