This interactive workshop examines effective nonviolent resistance under extreme authoritarianism in Djibouti, DRC, Uganda, and Haiti. Drawing on activists’ lived experiences, it highlights decentralized organizing, low-visibility tactics, artivism, community self-organization, and strategic engagement. Participants gain practical skills and insights on building resilient, culturally rooted movements, sustaining political gains, and protecting communities, offering actionable lessons for scholars, researchers, and activists confronting harsh repression worldwide.
