This interactive, skills-based workshop explores how communities under occupation, authoritarian repression, and conflict use unarmed civilian protection (UCP) and complementary strategies from exile to sustain movements, protect vulnerable populations, and advance human rights. Drawing on experiences from Palestine, Western Sahara, and Sudan, participants will gain practical knowledge in protection initiatives, diaspora organizing, ethical documentation, legal advocacy, and campaign design to reduce risk and enhance effectiveness in high-stakes contexts.”
